(1) Development History

In 2002, registered “TOYOTANI ® " brand, cooperated with other companies to produce TOYOTANI® Film;

In 2011, FLC imported the full set of a production line to produce films for high-quality greenhouse;

In 2016, production capacity reached 22,000 tons and the annual output of film was10000 tons.

(2) Product Feature

(a) Quality feature: TOYOTANI ® Film is manufactured by Japanese standards, multi-functions, 4-years’ quality warranty, especially the light transmission and tensile strength are much higher than national standards and other brands of film;

(b) R & D feature: Under the leadership of FLC, Japanese and Chinese engineers formed researching group to solve and research different problems happened during production.

(3) Formulation Feature

TOYOTANI ® Film used Japanese formulation, combined more than 10 years’ Chinese greenhouse film data, based on many years’  practice, and then created the unique film with Chinese characteristics.

(4) Partner Feature

The CEO of FLC graduated from Japan, thus FLC has extensive cooperation with Japanese universities and enterprises, including MITSUI CHEMICALS, KYOWA, Chinese Academy of Science Chemistry Institute and Chinese Academy of Agriculture Science.

Greenhouse film

Greenhouse film is called greenhouse cover, poly film, greenhouse fabric, etc, typically designed for covering greenhouse to create a favorable controlled environment for growing plant. It helps regulate growing factors like temperature, humidity, light levels while protecting crop from external weather such like hails, rain, wind, and frost, by all these means to help grower achieve a high crop yield.

Most Common Materialin the market

Polyethylene: Themajority in the market, widely used due to its flexibility and affordability.

Polycarbonate: has a more life span, but cost is much higher

EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate): Provides better UV protection and thermal properties, but cost is higher

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride): Durable but can degrade quick under extensive sunshine, and not environment friendly.

Selecting the Right Greenhouse Film

Climate factors

  • Cold Climates: Using films with high thermal retention or insulation properties (e.g., IR-treated films).
  • Hot Climates: Selectfilms with UV-blocking properties and diffused light features to prevent overheating or scorching the plants
  • Humid Environments: Anti drippingare key to reduce water droplets inside the greenhouse.

Film Thickness

  • 80-120 microns (3-5 mils): Suitable for short-term use or less harsh weather.
  • 150-200 microns (6-8 mils): Bestfor long-term application and areas with strong sunshine, winds, heavy rain, or snow.

Light Transmission

  • Ensure the film allows 85-95% light transmissionfor optimal plant growth depends on climate area.
  • For light-sensitive cropsor where sunshine extremely strong, opt for films with light diffusion to reduce shadows and spread sunlight evenly.

Anti-Drip & Anti-Dust
